Lisa Desprez- Vice- President
Lisa grew up in a musical home, played piano, and was a member of the award-winning New Generation Choir in her teens. She also enjoyed singing in musicals with Nanaimo Theatre Group and spent many years working as a costumer for local theatre companies.
More recently she sang with Camerata Singers, and with the Vancouver Island Symphony Choir under Patricia Plumley's directorship. Singing with A Cappella Plus is a wonderful opportunity to further explore her love of singing all kinds of music...and to sing with her sister Mila. Lisa works at The Port Theatre as Administrative Assistant. Weekends are spent with her other great love, her granddaughter.

Heather Hoggarth
“Music has always been a big part of Heather’s life. Growing up in Powell River she played piano and clarinet, and sang in a quartet called The Four Sharps. During her teaching career, she taught classroom music and directed elementary school choirs and musicals. She has learned a lot from, and enjoyed singing in, a variety of choirs over the years in both Richmond and Nanaimo. Presently, she is having a wonderful time singing with AC+ as well as loving her singing lessons with Patricia Plumley. She also enjoys her recorder studies at the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music, and likes vocal and instrumental workshops and camps. When not busy with her music, travel or family and friends, you will see her out learning and perfecting as many dances as time permits.”

Kathleen Lougheed-Mercier
Kathleen began singing with A Cappella Plus in 1990. She grew up singing songs in 3 part harmony at the kitchen sink while doing the dishes with her twin sisters. She just loves to sing, and singing surrounded by 4 or 8 part harmony is one of the best experiences she knows!

Mila Skeeles
"Mila has been involved with music, playing and teaching piano and singing in choirs for most of her life. She joined A Cappella Plus in 2011 and feels she has found the perfect combination of musical challenge and camaraderie with her fellow choristers. When not singing, she enjoys time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and going to any kind of artistic presentation, be it a movie, play, art display or concert."
