Rosemary Lindsay
Director 2003-2015
Rosemary Lindsay became conductor of A Cappella Plus in the fall of 2003. She was looking for a choir and we were looking for a new director! Rosemary majored in Voice within the Bachelor of Music program at UBC. She was a member of Phoenix Chamber choir, and Elektra women's choir. Over the course of her varied career she has been an award winning chorister, a private voice teacher, a professional conductor, an accupressurist and yoga instructor.
Rosemary enjoys integrating her knowledge of the many avenues which she uses to understand and explore the body, human nature, movement and the voice. For her, music is a first love and furthering the skills of her singers while pursuing choral heights a true passion.
Rosemary is a faculty member in the Vocal department at Vancouver Island University. She teaches private lessons and is the conductor of the VIU Concert Choir and Jazz Choir. She is also the director of Village Voices Chorus in Qualicum Beach.
