Open Car Rehearsal!
Singing proved to be very challenging, if not impossible for many choirs with COVID-19 protocols in place in 2000-21. A Cappella Plus adapted to the health mandates and did was necessary to keep celebrating the joy of song during this difficult time.
A Cappella Plus had an Open Car Rehearsal on Sunday May 23rd at NW Bay Ranch in Nanoose. We were not able to hold concerts, but we were able to hold drive-in events. We invited a few friends to come and join us as we sang in our own cars, with Trish, our director, up front directing us. We had microphones in each singer's vehicle! These mics feed into a mixer and then back through a designated FM radio station. The 'audience' just tuned in and listened on their radio, staying in their own cars! It was not "perfect" but it was fun, and we were excited and grateful to be singing together, and to be singing to others.
